Dorothy West (1907-1998)
 
Was active in the Harlem Renaissance movment and was theh last surving member of the Era. West was known for her short story The LIving is Easy which was published in 1948.

Margaret Walker(1915-1998)

In Walkers life spane she wrote poetry, a novel, a biography and critical essays.  She is known for her poem For my People which titled her to be the first African American to wn the Yale Younger Poets award.
